Short Biography

Col K M Mustafizur Rahman, psc received the B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (EECE) from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur in 2011 and M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2021. Currently he is undergoing his PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka.

He was commissioned in Signal Corps, Bangladesh Army in 1998 as Second Lieutenant. He has served in various command, staff and instructional appointment in Bangladesh Army. As command, he has commanded 9 Signal Battalion and 11 Signal Battalion as Commanding Officer.  As Staff he has served in Overseas Operations (OO) Directorate, Army Headquarters (AHQ) as GSO-2 (M&D) Section. Before joining MIST as senior Instruction he served as Colonel Administration in Defense Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur.  He started his career as an instructor in Special Warfare (SW) Wing, School of Infantry and Tactics (SI&T). Later he joined as Instructor Officiating Class B, in Signal Training Center and School (STCS). After completing first UN Mission as Signal Platoon Commander, ONUCI, Ivory Coast he joined prestigious Bangladesh Military Academy as Platoon Commander/ Instructor Officiating Class B.

Before joining as Senior Instructor in January 2025, Col K M Mustafizur Rahman, psc served MIST (2018-2022) as an Instructor, EECE Department. He has published some research papers in different international conferences and journals. He supervised undergrad thesis students. He is an active reviewer of different internation journals.
